The Bourne Bus goes from strength to strength following local household leaflet deliveries and social media campaigns in August. In fact this month our 16 seat minibus has been almost at capacity on some occasions on mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on our regular routes to Emsworth, Havant Tesco, Chichester and around the Parishes of Westbourne, Southbourne, Nutbourne and Hambrook.
We suspect that this increase is partly due to the cost of living crisis, as you can travel on the Bourne bus free, versus a day ticket on the local 700 bus for a family now costing nearly £20. The Bourne school runs back to Thorney Island have also been popular.
