The Bourne Bus service celebrates its first anniversary in June, having achieved around 3,000 completely free passenger journeys since its launch. With 20 stops covering Thorney Island, Hambrook, Southbourne, Nutbourne and Westbourne our local residents have continued to enjoy their trips to Havant, Emsworth and Chichester for shopping, medical and social trips as well as journeys home from Bourne Community College.
We have a great group of volunteer drivers but we’re now in that challenging second year of operation, when getting grants to keep the bus free to all gets more difficult. We’d like to appeal to local businesses and individuals interested in supporting this valuable community service to donate towards its running and upkeep. If you donate £1,000 we’ll even put your company logo on the bus!
