The Bourne Community Bus has moved from Community Transport Sussex to a more local community organisation called In Our Area.
This local Emsworth based Community Interest Company had already been involved with local events like beer festivals, a QR code trail called the Bourne Heritage Trail and a review of fundraising for a PG Wodehouse statue, as he was a past resident of Emsworth.
In Our Area formally took over the running of the Bourne Bus in July 2025. Since then we have restructured our operation to make it much more cost efficient and to ensure we can continue providing our valuable transport services free for the vast majority of local residents.
We would like to thank Community Transport Sussex who managed the Bourne bus over the previous 18 months and whose staff were instrumental in helping us reduce our operational costs.
