Bus launch 7th June

There was lots to do getting the Bourne Bus ready for launch on Tuesday 7th June, after its first official outing and service opening ceremony at the Queen’s Jubilee Parade through Chichester on Saturday 4th June.

The Bourne bus delivered to its Thorney Island home 12th May

“So much hard work has gone into this launch from a team of 20 people from 4 local villages, all of whom should be justifiably proud of their efforts to bring free bus transport to the local community”

Andrew Kerry-Bedell, Bourne Bus founder and WSCC Councillor for Bourne
The Mercedes Sprinter 16 seater has a rear disabled access ramp

The Bourne minibus has 16 seats and disabled lift access, so residents will be able to just turn up at one of 20 local village stops and get on and then get off where they wish. The bus will run 8 circular routes a day every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:30 – 18:00 around local villages, using safe pick up and drop-off points for its passengers.
