In September the Bourne Bus had a record breaking month in making 444 passenger journeys, the second month we’ve broken the 400 journeys a month barrier (August was 400).
There was also another record broken too. Our weekly Friday run is the most popular and on 5th September we made a record 48 passenger journeys in one day, only the second time we’ve had over 40.
This is partly due to the closure of Westbourne’s Surgery at the end of July, with residents from Westbourne now using the Bourne Bus to get to Emsworth Medical Practice, the nearest surgery two miles away.
We’ve also featured the bus in the local press and magazines, and our drivers report seeing many new faces on recent bus journeys, so it’s good to have got the word out of free travel with any bus pass around the Bourne area!
